FALL FISH ORDERS DUE (crappie, perch, minnows) order form is available here.

COMPOSTING INDOORS WITH WORMS - October 16 – 6:30-7:30 p.m. – Cost:  Free - Broome County Cornell Cooperative Extension, 840 Upper Front St., Binghamton, NY – Learn how to compost indoors with a worm bin.  We’ll cover worm biology, bin maintenance, and how to harvest finished compost.  Each participating household will receive a worm bin made from a plastic tote bin, complete with bedding and some starter worms.  Instructor is Kevin Mathers, Resource Educator.  Space is limited and registration is required.  Call (607) 584-9966 to register.

FALL FISH PICKUP –October 24 - 8:30 a.m. – Broome SWCD District shop building -  pickup of pre-ordered fish.

HOME COMPOSTING WORKSHOP – October 29 – 6:30-8:00 p.m. – Cost:  Free -- Broome County Cornell Cooperative Extension, 840 Upper Front St., Binghamton, NY – This demonstration style workshop will help you learn the basic steps for successful home composting.  We’ll explore the pros and cons of various composting methods and bid designs, and learn how to use compost to improve gardens.  This workshop will be held rain or shine.  Please call (607) 584-9966 to register.
